During November, film submissions for the jubilee fifteenth edition of the VAFI & RAFI – International Festival of Animated Films for Children and Youth were officially opened and will last until January 31, 2024. The festival is organized by the Film-Creative Studio VANIMA from Varaždin, and this year’s edition of the festival will be held in Varaždin from May 27 to June 1, 2024. Belgium will be the festival partner.
At the VAFI & RAFI festival, animated films compete in two sections – VAFI where films made by children and youth up to 18 years of age compete, and RAFI where professional animated films for children and youth compete in four categories intended for different age groups. After the submission deadline, the selection committees will review the submitted animated films, and the films that will enter the competition will be announced at the end of April.
