Dear friends, dear film applicants!
We bring you the results of the selection committees for the 17th edition of the VAFI & RAFI Festival. Once again, we received more than a thousand animated films, which makes us happy every year. Thank you!
The members of the selection committee in the RAFI section were Dubravka Kalinić Lebinec, a long-time educator in the field of media culture and the founder and head of VANIMA, and Boško Picula, a film critic. They decided on 60 animated films that will be screened in the official competition of the festival this year. See the results of the RAFI section HERE
The selection in the VAFI section this year was made by Tea Bošnjak, a former member of VANIMA and a graduate student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, majoring in animated film and new media, and Gabriela Butković, an academic sculptor and painter, head of VANIMA’s art and experimental groups. They decided on 95 animated films that will be screened in the official competition of the festival, and see the results of the VAFI section HERE
It is always difficult to choose films for official screenings because we would like to show everything, but unfortunately that is not possible. However, if your film did not pass the selection, do not be discouraged because the new edition of the Festival awaits us next year.
